The free month is on Starter, for new accounts. Nothing is charged during it and no card is needed to begin. Pro and Enterprise are shown at their normal price — move up whenever you outgrow Starter.

Why a month

Long enough to test the site you actually run.

A demo install on an empty database tells you nothing you did not already know. The month exists so you can put your real site on it, under your real traffic, and judge the host on evidence rather than on a benchmark page written by the host.

Bring the site
you already have

Migration is free and we do it, so the month is not spent rebuilding anything. Your plugins, your theme, your database — moved as they are, on a staging URL until you are happy to switch DNS.

Watch it under
your own traffic

Response times, uptime and error rates for your pages, not a sample site. A month covers a full billing cycle, a deploy or two and at least one busy day, which is when hosting differences actually show.

How it works

Four steps, none of them a sales call.

01

Create your account

No card, no invoice, no sales call. You are in the dashboard in under a minute.

02

Launch or migrate a site

Start a fresh WordPress install in a couple of clicks, or hand us the old host's details and we move it for you.

03

Use it like you pay for it

Nothing is throttled or held back during the trial. Same infrastructure, same backups, same support queue.

04

Decide at the end of the month

Add a card to continue, or leave. Nothing bills unless you choose to stay.

The free month, in full

Nothing is held back until you pay.

A trial worth running is one where the thing you are trying is the thing you would buy. Same servers, same backups, same support queue — the only difference is that the first month is not billed.

The free month runs on Starter. Upgrading ends it early and billing starts from the day you move, so there is no reason to upgrade before you actually need the headroom.

FAQ

Questions about the free month.

Do I need a credit card to start?
No. You create an account and the month begins. A card is only needed when you decide to continue, so there is nothing to cancel if you do not.
What happens at the end of the month?
Your site keeps running once you add a card, at $20/mo for Starter. If you add nothing, the account simply lapses — we do not have a card to charge, so there is no accidental renewal.
Is anything limited during the free month?
No. Same infrastructure, same daily backups, same support queue and the same resource limits as a paying account on that plan. A trial that throttles you tells you nothing useful about the host.
Can you migrate my existing site during the trial?
Yes, and it is the point. Migration is free and done by our team, so the month is spent looking at your real site under real traffic rather than at an empty install.
Can I upgrade during the free month?
Yes, whenever you need to. Upgrading ends the free period and billing starts from the day you move, so there is nothing to gain by doing it early — stay on Starter until the site genuinely needs more.
Does the free month apply to Pro or Enterprise?
No — the offer is on Starter. Those plans are shown here at their normal price so you can see what moving up costs, and most sites are comfortably inside Starter for a first month anyway.
Who is eligible?
New accounts, one free month per customer. If you already have a MagicWP account and want to try a different plan, talk to us — we would rather sort it out than have you create a second account.
What if I need help during the month?
Open a ticket or use the chat on this page. Trial accounts are not a separate, slower queue — the people answering are the same WordPress engineers who answer paying customers.

A month is long enough to know.

Migrate a real site, watch it under real traffic, and decide with evidence instead of a benchmark page.
